I have been busting ass at work all week and have gotten virtually nothing done and I am not to thrilled. I have been able to work on some drawings and will continue to do so. I have a couple of projects ahead of me this weekend, one is revamping the FPAC website. Two is to photograph a bunch of work I have laying around. Three is to get some photos taken for upcoming digital-mixed-mediaz projects. Saturday night I cruise down to Emporia, Ks for the opening of my friend Sara’s senior show. She is a glass artist and I am excited to see what she has been working up. Hopefully by Sunday evening I will have a bunch of photos up of new and exciting things.

Went shooting today. Very enjoyable experince. Failed squirrel hunt to start, much sitting, waiting. Listend for a good time. Many sounds escape many creatures. PING PING PING woody pek pek. No squirrels showed thier measly-weasly. They gave no chance to be shot at, blasted, skinned, eaten and bones turned into beautiful gilted objexts to be lusted after and desired for. Next, shoot blue rock, thrown from springloaded mechanical device. Ready, Pull, POW!. powdered that betch, was no thang for g-mutha-fuccas. Then art project began. Shoot many frames, still, of dark retarded wizard, practice virtual gun unsafety, drags protal to next dimension behind him. Speaks like two devils fighting inside small childs head. Video tape records, be edited, published upon many channels of media and marketing, name explode, home in hollywood hills, two more in miami beach, many hookers and booze fed nights for two poor indians in the kansas country side. Wizard shoots neon peace plaques, ping ping ping dingdingdingdingding. Shoots up Mountain Dew, Does THE DEW!!!!. Spits up and chews out off camera enemy of his mind gone wander. Sleep escapes, then conquers him, relives himself in presence of queen spider, she not amused, she sicks silk spinning spartans upon him, attack him as he tries to deffacate in hole to other side, inner dimensions of spinning green-blue-white sphere.

Tulsa

The Fresh Produce Art Collective was invited to Tulsa, Ok by our Sister collective named Organum, to hang a show at an Avant they hosted last weekend. I rolled out of work on Thursday and headed to Lawrence to pick up the work and the boys. After hitting the gallery with Bones and picking up the super professional looking wrapped work (thanx Ostaff), we head to the serious east side and picked up Mr. Charles Ray. With things in line, including our headz (danka Smokey) we peaced out down 59. The drive was good and dark and we were able to roll in and grab a drink at Empire before the bar closed. Whit spilled my beer on the bar, but that ok and Ray and I played the pool. Next we headed to meet up with Andrew Bones at his home and studio in North Tulsa. Mr. Bones jr. has a beautiful little pad and we skimmed a bit and drank some fine, fine Carlos Rossi blush before we hit the sack.

Friday morning Abones fixed us up a nice breakfast which we ate most ravenously. We were accompanied by his roommate matt and the other roommate, whose name I have forgotten, but will soon add into this edited post and no one will know that I forgot. After breakfast I worked on some sktch in the skthbook and enjoyed a tranquil morning among friends and fellow artists. In the afternoon we headed to the venue, The Blank Slate. When I walked in I was pretty scared as there were literally no walls one could see that would be suitable for hanging an art show. But, after taking a better look around we were able to come up with two decent walls that needed lighting and a school bus inside the venue that we knew would make a really nice little gallery. We spent the next four or five hours getting the work unwrapped, placed and hung and with the lights we so thankfully brought with us, shit was looking good. The bus show I think was the raddest little hang we have done in along while. Super intimate and closed off from the rest of the work, this little oasis was just right. We headed back to the abones crib and got cleaned up, had a little drink and headed to the event. There were 8 different bands that played with 12 different musicians rotating with their respective projects. There was all sorts of tunes being made from some crazy one-man-band metal to some indie to some jazz to some country funky to some all over there other stuff. Tulsa is apparently full of beautiful women and many of them came out to get down. The music was great and the booze flowed and I for one had a most excellent time. We decided to take the show down after the event and did so in good time. Ostaff and Josie took off to head back to Kansas and we headed around the corner to Arnies for a couple of pitchers to celebrate the gathering and how well it went off. Shortly after we retired to the house where Charles and I drank more Rossi and skateboarded in the house. I slept in and awoke to a phone call from an old gal. I ended up in my van charging the cell when Matt asked me if I could take him to the flea market to pick up his buddy Al. Al had gotten up early and taken a cab to the flea to pick out some records. Well, he found 200 that he liked and needed a ride. We grabbed Al and headed back to the pad so he and Matt could get gathered to head to the Coalescence Festival in Ark. The were playing that night I think and Alex Grey was there doing some speaking and live painting.

The boys and I hit the road shortly there after. We hit a burger joint on the way out of town and had a nice rootbeer for the road. The drive was nice in the afternoon and Charles took the reins for the back half of the trip. We bot back to Lawrence and got cleaned up to head over to the Munny show at the Lawrence Arts Center. I had a nice glass of wine there, ran into Salad man and hit off down the street to chase women and drink the fluid of life. Hit a few joints but ended up at Replay late and off my chain. Made it back to the van where I crawled in and called it good about 345 am. I got up at 630 and headed to work for a 12 hour shift, half of it I probably slept.

All in all it was a fantastic experience. The people in Tulsa were great, Andrew, Matt, Beau, Lindsey, that foxy little dark haired girl who let me draw on her stockings and quite a few more I met but can’t remember names.

That is today. I think I am going to post up a shot from my sketch book. It is a little drawing I was working on for the Style Bite show and am pretty happy with it. Like them Opossums. Just got back from a killer run with the dogs at the park and I am, hot, steamy, sweaty and only $2.99 a minute. I wonder who calls those things any more. Surely if you have a phone you have the internets. Are there people out there who turn on porno and just listen to the sound? Thats kind of hot.

Below are the two halves of the work I have been making for our party on Saturday night, the “Style Bite.” I am biting Aaron Storck. I like the work he does and am excited to be working like this, it gives me a freedom that I haven’t had in a long time and is really enjoyable. I miss making digital work and I like the way he does things. I went in and painted on top of these images and garnished with a variety of shiny things.

Had a rad night last night and a really rad stand up bus ride with the Rickness this morning. I am stuck at work awaiting NASCAR Superstar Tony Stewart to arrive so I can give him a Cadillac, which I took the liberty of peeling out, burning rubber, rocking donuts and providing general mayhem for airport security to flip shit about. I needed it though, something to get the blood flowing while I wait. So I bumped the Justice, only fitting since Caddy is using thier tunes to push thier vehicles and went to work. I was fueling an aircraft up in the North T’s when a Sherrif came by asking me if I had seen any one hot rodding. I told him it was probablly asshole kids, for it is race weekend. I came back to the shop to see him driving by the very vehicle and criminal he was looking for. Rad.

I ran into a gallery in Sweeden that I really like and feel that the images that I saw on there this evening will push me in a good direction. I have been making alot of progress making small watercolors and pencil pieces in my sketch book these last few days. The have mainly been focusing around the image of the Opossum. After Greg killed that one the other night I have been super interested in these creatures. They are kind of ugly fuckers, but I am digging thier dirtknapkickassness. wurd
